Pickaxes are the most important tool in Break a Lucky Block since they determine how fast you break blocks and progress through the game. With nearly 30 different pickaxes ranging from the starter Wood pickaxe at 1 power to the endgame Hacker pickaxe at 276 power, choosing which ones to buy can be confusing. This Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe tier list ranks all pickaxes based on their power, cost efficiency, and how useful they are at different stages of the game.

Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe Tier List: Best Pickaxes Ranked - 1

Our Criteria for Ranking All Available Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe

We ranked pickaxes based on three main factors:

  • Power Level – Higher power means faster block breaking, which directly affects how quickly you earn rewards and progress through zones.
  • Cost Efficiency – Some pickaxes offer better value for their price, while others are expensive upgrades that only add small power increases.
  • Progression Stage – The best pickaxe for early game isn’t necessarily good for late game. We considered where each pickaxe fits in your overall progression journey and how long you’ll actually use it before upgrading.

Pickaxes that combine high power with reasonable costs for their progression stage rank higher. Pickaxes that get replaced quickly or offer poor value rank lower.

Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe Tier List

S Tier – Best Pickaxes

S tier pickaxes are the absolute best tools in Break a Lucky Block. These are the top five God-rarity pickaxes that define endgame progression . If you’re serious about reaching maximum efficiency, these are the pickaxes you’re working toward.

Hacker Axe - 2

Why S Tier? These pickaxes have power levels above 250, which is essential for breaking blocks efficiently in the final zones after multiple rebirths . The Hacker pickaxe at 276 power is the strongest tool in the game and represents the peak of progression. While the cash costs are astronomical (billions instead of millions), these pickaxes are worth grinding for because they’re the only way to maintain reasonable farming speed at high rebirth levels.

A Tier – Excellent Late Game Pickaxes

A tier pickaxes bridge the gap between mid-game and endgame. These are strong tools that you’ll use for extended periods while grinding toward S tier pickaxes. They’re expensive but represent significant power increases that justify their costs.

Disco Axe - 3

Why A Tier? These pickaxes range from 184 to 246 power, putting them in the late-game category where you’re preparing for final rebirths. The Disco pickaxe is particularly valuable as the last stepping stone before the S tier pickaxes – at 246 power, it’s only 6 power below UFO but costs significantly less. You’ll likely use each of these pickaxes for several hours of gameplay, making them worthwhile purchases rather than quick stepping stones.

B Tier – Good Mid-Game Pickaxes

B tier pickaxes are solid mid-game options that carry you through the middle rebirths. These include mid-range Secret pickaxes and all Mythic-tier tools. They’re important for progression but you’ll eventually replace them with A or S tier options.

Break a Lucky Block Pickaxe Tier List: Best Pickaxes Ranked - 4

Why B Tier? These pickaxes cover the 67-166 power range, which is where most players spend the bulk of their mid-game hours. Ancient at 166 power is the strongest B tier pickaxe and represents a major milestone – once you can afford it, you’re approaching late game. While these pickaxes are eventually replaced, they’re essential stepping stones you can’t skip.

C Tier – Early Game Pickaxes

C tier includes all starter pickaxes and early-game tools. These are either cheap pickaxes you buy in your first hour of gameplay or expensive Legendary pickaxes that don’t offer enough value compared to saving for Mythic tier.

Radioactive Axe - 5

Why C Tier? These pickaxes are either completely replaced within an hour (Wood, Stone, Iron) or serve as brief stepping stones before better options (Legendary tier). Wood is your starting pickaxe with only 1 power – you’ll upgrade from it almost immediately. The progression through Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Rainbow happens quickly as you build up your first Brainrot income.

Progression Tips

  • Don’t buy every pickaxe. Skip Legendary tier entirely and save for Molten. The jump from Diamond (12 power) or Rainbow (16 power) straight to Molten (67 power) is worth the wait.
  • Focus on Brainrots first. Better Brainrots generate more cash per second, which means you can afford better pickaxes faster. Don’t waste all your money on pickaxe upgrades if your income is weak.
  • Use rebirths strategically. Before rebirthing, buy the best pickaxe you can afford since pickaxes carry over. A strong pickaxe makes rebuilding after rebirth much faster.

Focus on building strong Brainrot income first, then use that cash to climb the pickaxe tier list efficiently. Check out our Break a Lucky Block wiki for more guides.
