Progression in Break a Lucky Block revolves around a simple loop: break blocks to get Brainrots, place Brainrots to generate cash, use cash to buy better pickaxes, and eventually rebirth for permanent multipliers. The game is divided into early game where you’re upgrading your first few pickaxes , mid game where you’re working toward your first rebirth, and late game where you’re stacking multiple rebirths for massive cash multipliers. Your main goal is to reach Rebirth 10 with a 10x cash multiplier and endgame pickaxes. Understanding when to upgrade, when to rebirth, and how to save your best Brainrots makes progression much faster. This Break a Lucky Block progression guide breaks down each stage and explains what to focus on at every level.

- General Progression Tips
Early Game Progression (Starting Out)
When you first spawn, you have a Wood pickaxe with 1 power. Your priority is upgrading to better pickaxes as fast as possible.
- Step 1: Break the basic lucky blocks near spawn. Avoid Sammy the guard by waiting for him to move away. Collect common Brainrots and place them in your base.
- Step 2: Use your earnings to buy the Stone pickaxe (2 power), then Iron (4 power), then Gold (8 power). These early upgrades are cheap and make breaking blocks much faster.
- Step 3: Once you have Gold pickaxe, start saving money for Diamond pickaxe (12 power). This costs more but lets you break tougher blocks.
- Step 4: Farm common and rare Brainrots. Don’t worry about stealing from other players yet – focus on building up your base income.
Early Game Goal: Reach Diamond or Rainbow pickaxe and earn around $100k-$500k to prepare for your first rebirth.
Mid Game Progression (First Rebirths)
Once you hit $100k and have the required Brainrots, you’re ready for your first rebirth.
- Step 1: Before rebirthing, buy the best pickaxe you can afford. Aim for at least Beanstalk (22 power) or Candy (30 power). Your pickaxe stays with you after rebirth.
- Step 2: Put your best Brainrots in the Fuse Machine. This saves them from getting deleted.
- Step 3: Complete Rebirth 1 to get 1.5x cash multiplier and 2 extra base slots. You’ll spawn with $5,000 starting cash.
- Step 4: Use your saved Brainrots from the Fuse Machine to rebuild your income quickly. With the 1.5x multiplier, you’ll earn money much faster.
- Step 5: Work toward Rebirth 2 and Rebirth 3. Each one gives you a better multiplier (2x, then 3x) and unlocks new gear like Trap and Grapple Hook.
- Step 6: Keep upgrading your pickaxe. Aim for Radioactive (42 power) or Molten (67 power) before doing Rebirth 4 or 5.
Mid Game Goal: Reach Rebirth 5 with a 5x cash multiplier and have a Molten or Bloodmoon pickaxe.
Late Game Progression (Stacking Rebirths)
Late game is about maximizing your cash multiplier through multiple rebirths.
- Step 1: Focus on getting Secret-tier pickaxes like Yin Yang (126 power), Ice (142 power), or Ancient (166 power). These let you break secret blocks for legendary and mythic Brainrots.
- Step 2: Complete Rebirths 6, 7, and 8. These require huge amounts of cash ($15M, $50M, $225M) but give you 6x, 7x, and 8x multipliers.
- Step 3: Farm secret blocks constantly. With a high-power pickaxe, you can get mythic Brainrots worth thousands per second.
- Step 4: Use PvP tactics. Steal legendary and mythic Brainrots from other players near the base line using gear like Diamond Slap or Taser.
- Step 5: Save multiple copies of required Brainrots for your next rebirth in the Fuse Machine. This way you can rebirth multiple times without waiting.
- Step 6: Push toward Rebirth 9 ($750M) and Rebirth 10 ($2.5B). The 9x and 10x multipliers make earning massive amounts of cash easy.
Late Game Goal: Reach Rebirth 10 with a 10x multiplier and God-tier pickaxes like Glitch (224 power) or Disco (246 power).
General Progression Tips
- Always upgrade pickaxe before rebirthing. Your pickaxe is the only thing you keep, so max it out each time.
- Save 5-10 Brainrots in the Fuse Machine. This gives you a strong restart after each rebirth instead of starting from nothing.
- Play on full servers. More players distract Sammy, giving you more time to break blocks safely.
- Don’t rebirth too early. Wait until you have extra required Brainrots and the best pickaxe you can afford.
- Focus on cash per second. Some Brainrots generate way more money than others. Prioritize keeping high-earning ones.
- Use gear strategically. Steal from players carrying legendaries or mythics, not common Brainrots.
Break a Lucky Block progression follows a cycle: upgrade pickaxes from Wood (1 power) to Disco (246 power), farm Brainrots for cash, and rebirth for permanent multipliers from 1.5x to 10x. Check out our Break a Lucky Block wiki for more guides.
