If you’ve opened Fortnite recently, and Zero Build is just gone, you’re probably freaking out a little and have this big question: “Did Fortnite remove Zero Build?” Don’t worry, though, Epic didn’t actually delete it. What’s Going On with Fortnite Zero Build?

After the February 5th Love and Legends update (that’s version 39.40 ), Epic changed how the menu looks. Zero Build used to sit right there in the Discover section with its own button. Now? It’s actually hidden inside Battle Royale mode instead.

How to Find Fortnite Zero Build Now

Here’s the step-by-step process to access Zero Build in Fortnite:

  1. Open Fortnite and go to the main lobby .
  2. Scroll down to the Discover menu and look for the “By Epic” section.
  3. Click on Battle Royale mode.
  4. Before hitting Play , click the mode options button .
  5. You’ll see options for Build and Zero Build – select Zero Build .
  6. Choose your preferred mode ( Ranked or regular ) and team size.
  7. Hit Play , and you’re good to go.

Even if you type “Zero Build” in the search bar, it won’t show up. The only way to access it is through the Battle Royale mode settings.

Will This Change Again?

Epic Games changes its menu layout pretty often, so this might not be permanent. They could move Zero Build back to its own tile or change things up completely in a future update. For now, though, you will need to use the method written above.

Zero Build is one of the most popular ways to play Fortnite. A lot of players prefer it because it focuses on shooting and strategy rather than building skills. Epic knows this, which is why they definitely wouldn’t remove it completely. Bottom line is, Zero Build isn’t going anywhere. It’s still part of Fortnite, still getting updates, and you can still play it with your friends. You just need to know where to look now.
