The Kohana Island update in Fish It introduced several new items and fish to collect, including the Magma Charm. What Does the Magma Charm Do?
Just like any other charm in the game, the new Magma Charm improves your odds of catching the Magma Shark . It won’t help you with any other fish, though, so don’t expect it to boost your general fishing stats. Since Magma Shark is a new Secret hidden under the Volcano Cavern , you will need luck to catch it.
Where to Find the Magma Charm in Fish It
You can buy the Magma Charm from a charm station inside the Kohana Volcano, and it only costs 20,000 Coins , which isn’t too bad compared to other items in the game. Here is the guide on how to find it:
- To get to the charm station, head to Kohana Island with your boat .
- When you arrive, walk past the cabins and enter the water channel . Keep moving forward until you reach a cave entrance at the far end.
- Follow this cave path , going down all the way through until you reach the Volcano area .
- Once you’re inside the Volcano, look for the wooden bridge next to the Lava Fisherman NPC . Cross the bridge and take the first right turn. The Magma Charm crate will be right there on your left , sitting on a rock where you can purchase it.
How to Use Magma Charm
After you buy it, you can open your inventory and switch to the Charms tab. You will find it there and can equip it before you start fishing. Remember, the Magma Shark lives in the deeper part of Kohana Volcano, which is called the Volcanic Cavern, where you need the Hazmat Suit to go. So make sure you complete the NPC quest first from Hazmat Leader and have that gear ready before you dive deep and start your hunt.
The Magma Charm makes catching this legendary fish easier, but you’ll still need patience and the right fishing rod and bobber to actually reel it in. You can use the charm 30 times whenever you buy it.
