How to Find the Quest Tab in Fish It
Right now, these quests are a bit weird to find. They should be in the event tab, but that’s not showing up for everyone. Instead, try to check your quest tab manually at the top of your screen. You will see the event quests there, and two of them give you the rod skins we are after.
How to Get the Magma Hook Rod Skin in Fish It
This one is pretty straightforward. You need to complete an Epic Bounty to unlock the Magma Hook skin. Here’s what you do: Head over to the bounty boards in Kohana Island. These boards show different fish bounties that give you extra coins when you catch specific fish. The bounties come in different rarities, shown by their colors.
You need to find and complete an Epic Bounty specifically for this rod skin. The board refreshes daily, so if you don’t see any epic bounties today, come back tomorrow and check again. After you catch the fish, bring it back to the bounty board and claim your reward. You will instantly get the Magma Hook rod skin.
How to Get the Inferno Core Rod Skin in Fish It
Be prepared, the Inferno Core is the best-looking free rod skin in Fish It right now, but it’s ridiculously hard to get. You need to catch one Ancient Magma Whale to unlock it. The Ancient Magma Whale just got added to the game with the Kohana Volcano expansion update , and the odds are extremely low. You have a 1 in 5 million chance of catching this fish. To make things even harder, you can only catch it in the Kohana Volcano area. You might even need the Hazmat Suit first for it!
Plus, for this quest, you actually need either an Element Rod or a Diamond Rod to even pull this fish up because it’s so heavy. If you don’t have one of these high-tier rods, you literally can’t catch the Magma Whale even if you hook it. Moreover, you can’t boost your odds with charms . So your odds stay at 1 in 5 million no matter what.
The Magma Hook is definitely worth getting since it only takes one epic bounty. You’ll probably complete this naturally if you check the bounty boards daily. The Inferno Core, though, is a different story. With 1 in 5 million odds and strict rod requirements, most players will never see this fish.
